Elephant knitting pattern

The little elephant is knitted from Alize Softy wool and very soft and cuddly.

Materials:

✓ 70 gr knitting yarn Navy blue Alize Softy (115 m/ 50g).

for the clothes Katia Velvet fine 30 gr (160 m\50g).

✓ Knitting needles No.2,5

✓ Fiberfill

✓ Eyes 20 mm

✓ 1 extra long sewing needle

First Row - Purl.
The first row you knit from start to end in purl.
Second Row – garter stitch (K).
You work every ST with a garter stitch.
So you have to follow that pattern till the end: the purl rows are odd numbers (1. row, 3rd row etc.) and the even rows are the garter stitch rows (2nd row, 4th row, 6th row and so on).

Sew the arms between the 32 and 33 rows,

the legs between the 18 and 19 rows.

For Legs 2 Ps. pink

Cast off and sew to the leg. Tint the belly with dry crayons.

 

For arms 2 Ps. pink

In the 26 row find the markers for the eyes tightening.

Insert the needle near the first marker in the 8 row and take it out near the second marker at the other side. Count out 3 rows to the left, insert the needle and take out back to the first marker to the other side. But also 3 rows further than the marker 1 is.

Tighten the threads, make the knots, weave in all ends.

 

To tint the cheeks nose and ears i use the pink and gray dry crayons.

Draw with a crayon on the paper, then gather the resulting grains with a brush and apply on the toy in the necessary places.

Tail

Cast on 12 CH.
