Hello, I'm a beginner knitter, just completed the hat and am going on to the scarf. However I am really confused! It says cast on 3 stitches and then the next row is SS, YO, k 1, YO, SS = TSC 5. Am I right in thinking the abbreviations are slip stitch, yarn over, knit 1,yarn over, slip stitch? I only end up for 4 stitches on my right needle after doing this? I am casting on with the thumb method. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Emma

Hello Emma! The abbreviation „SS“ just means Selvedge Stitch, as mentioned in the beginning of the pattern, where all abbreviations are explained. Contact us directly, if you need more support, please. Thank you!
