Free Knitting Pattern for Dolls Bolero

GARTER STITCH

Knit every row. Working in the round, purl one round and knit one round.

INSTRUCTIONS

NECKLINE

Cast on 60 stitches including edge stitches. Work 4 rounds in garter stitch.

RAGLAN

From here increasing starts. In every second row yarn over before and after raglan stitches:

R 1: ES, 4 garter stitches, 7 ks (front), yo, 2 ks (Raglan stitches), yo, 6 ks (sleeve), yo, 2 ks (Raglan stitches), yo, 16 ks (back), yo, 2 ks (Raglan stitches), yo, 6 ks (sleeve), yo, 2 ks (Raglan stitches), yo, 7 ks (front), 4 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 2: ES, 4 garter stitches, 58 ps, 4 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 3: ES, 4 garter stitches, 8 ks, yo, 2 ks, yo, 8 ks, yo, 2 ks, yo, 18 ks, yo, 2 ks, yo, 8 ks, yo, 2 ks, yo, 8 ks, 2 garter stitches, k2tog (buttonhole made), ES, turn.

R 4: ES, 1 garter st, yo, 2 garter stitches, 66 ps, 4 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 5-18: Increase stitches every 2nd row until there are 132 stitches on needles.

Knit across front and back stitches:

R 19: ES, 4 garter stitches, 17 ps (front), place 26 sleeve stitches on holder, 36 ps (back), place 26 sleeve stitches on holder, 17 ps (front), 2 garter stitches, k2tog (buttonhole made), ES, turn.

R 20: ES, 1 garter st, yo, 76 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 21: ES, k2tog, 76 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 22: ES, k2tog, 75 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 23: ES, k2tog, 72 garter stitches, k2tog, ES, turn.

R 24: ES, 74 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 25: ES, k2tog, 70 garter stitches, k2tog, ES, turn.

R 26: ES, 72 garter stitches, ES, turn.

R 27: ES, k2tog, 68 garter stitches, k2tog, ES, turn.

R 28: ES, k2tog, 66 garter stitches, k2tog, ES, turn.

Cast off all stitches.

SLEEVE

Transfer 26 sleeve stitches to needles and divide them onto three needles. The round starts underarm where raglan stitches meet.

Work 10 rounds in stocking stitch. Now knit 8 rounds in garter stitch.

Cast off all stitches.

Knit the second sleeve the same way.

FINISHING

Sew two little sleeve seams with yarn tails. Weave in all ends. Sew buttons to the jacket to correspond with buttonholes.
