Warm beanie "Flora" en/de (sporty or slouchy, all sizes)

A warm hat with a relief pattern "Flora" for the whole family (in knitted look). The hat can also be crocheted as slouchy beanie (explained in the instructions). The hat has only one seam from the back and is crocheted around the head as one piece.

This PDF crochet tutorial consists of illustrated pattern for crocheting a hat with the vertical relief pattern and pattern of sl st. The hat looks like knitted. This hat can be crocheted sporty or slouchy. For the slouchy hat crochet it to a total length of 26-27 cm, for a normal hat (sporty hat) crochet it to a total length of 20 cm (explained in the instructions).This hat can be crocheted for children as well as for adults.

For the basic pattern I have created a video with the explanation. The video is not publicly available and can be viewed with the link. The video has also been uploaded here at CP as an additional file to the PDF file (You can find the English subtitles by following the link). With this video, crocheting the basic pattern works much faster and easier.

Attention! The hat is partly crocheted with sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops or in the front loops of the previous row, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting the hat, practise crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few exercises, crocheting with the chain stitches will work very quickly. Otherwise: crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.

• Merino Extrafine from Drops, composition: 100% pure wool, run length approx. 105m / 50g, color: light green, color no.: 26 or color of your choice, 100 gr. for a sporty cap or 150 gr. for a droopy cap
• crochet hook no.4 und 4,5 (or US no. 8 and 7)
• Fur pom-pom or pom-pom set from Prym and 50 gr. Wool of your choice
• Tools: pin, thick needle, thin needle
