Baby & child socks "Flora", 2 PDFs (sizes 0 m.-3 y.)

Product description

Crocheting warm baby & child socks in knitted look for your child or grandchild is no problem at all with this tutorial (for advanced)! A vertical pattern in knitted look, easily adjustable size make these socks a real eye-catcher! The socks are crocheted as one piece around the foot, vertically (like wrapping a piece of paper around the foot). The heel is crocheted onto the sock at the end. This creates a seam line on the inside of the sock that is very flat and does not interfere at all with walking. Sewing the socks together is also explained in the pattern.

For the basic pattern I have created a video with the explanation, with the difference that in these socks arches are created from 3 stitches. The video is not in the public domain and can be viewed with the link. Among other things, a drawing and a crochet diagram have been added to the pattern. With the video, the drawing and the crochet diagram, crocheting the basic pattern is much quicker and easier.

Attention! The socks are crocheted partially (only the shank) with the sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops only or in the front loops only of the previous row, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting the socks, practice crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few practices, crochet with sl st will work out very quickly. Otherwise, crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.

LG Natalie
