Winter beanie "Mike" (diamond pattern, all sizes)

This PDF crochet tutorial consists of illustrated crochet pattern for crocheting a hat with the diamond pattern. The cuff looks like knitted. Another variation would be to crochet the hat with the cuff folded upwards, which is very easy to achieve by crocheting more stitches in the cuff.

This hat can be crocheted for both children and adults and is a unisex hat. With this crochet pattern you can crochet sports hats for your next ski holiday in any size for the whole family.

For the diamond pattern I have created a video with the explanation for the first rounds. It was uploaded as an additional file to the PDF file (you can find the English subtitles to the video by following the link). Crocheting the diamond pattern is much easier with this video.

Attention! The hat is crocheted partially with the sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops only or in the front loops only of the previous row, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting, practice crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few practices, crochet with sl st will work out very quickly. Otherwise, crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.
