PDF crochet pattern consists of illustrated pattern for crocheting a beanie with the braid, or braided pattern around the head. The cuff and the upper part look like knitted. The beanie can be crocheted sporty or slouchy. For the slouchy beanie the work is crocheted to the total length of 26-27 cm, for a normal beanie (sporty beanie) to the total length of 20 cm. This beanie can be crocheted for both children and adults.

With this tutorial you can crochet a sports hat for your next ski vacation in any size for you and your child (grandchild).

Attention. The beanie is partially crocheted with sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops only or in the front loopd only, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting the beanie, practice crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few exercises, crochet with the sl st will work out very quickly. Otherwise: crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool. Crochet with the chain stitches, is explained in the video.

• For the beanie: Merino Extrafine from Drops, composition: 100% pure wool, run length approx. 105m / 50g, color: red or pink, or color of your choice, 100g and 50g more for a slouchy beanie
• Crochet hook no. 4 and no. 4,5 (EU-size) or no. 8 and 7 (US-size)
• Fur pom-pom or pom-pom set from Prym and 50 gr. Wool of your choice
• Tools: pin, thick needle, thin needle
