Goldberry Beanie

Fall is my favourite season and this project is really good to create a nice beanie for the coming cold weather.

This beautiful and fun pattern is using different stitches ( special puff stitches, stitching in the 3rd loop of hdc, stitching in the back loop only) to create a unique textured look.

For the special puff stitch there’s a photo tutorial to make sure, you are doing it right. :)

The pattern is written in US terms.

Difficulty: Intermediate
To make this pattern, you need to know:

• chain
• single crochet
• single crochet back loop only
• single crochet 3rd loop only
• half double crochet
• half double crochet together
• half double crochet 3rd loop only
• half double crochet 3rd loop only together
• double crochet
• puff stitch

This pattern has the instructions for 4 sizes, starting from toddler size to adult size (the adult size has 2 different sizing options)

• 5 mm (H) Hook for Child and Adult size
• 5.5 mm (I) Hook for Toddler size
• Approximately 109-174 yards / 100-160 metres (50-80 grams) of worsted/aran weight yarn (I used Big Twist Yarns Value), depending on the size chosen:
o Toddler: 50-55 grams
o Child: 55-60 grams
o Adult: 70-80 grams
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors
• Optional: Faux fur pompom
• Stitch markers
