Following my tutorial what you will get is a cute 3D brooch. It has a fastener on the back and will look gorgeous on winter clothing, be it a coat collar, jumper, scarf, or a hat and a cap. It may also add a nice little touch to the clothes of your child. You may also turn it into a keyring or a pendant for your handbag.

Stitches (US-terminology):
ch – chain
st - stitch
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
dc - double crochet
3 in 1 - 3 sc in 1 loop
Techniques:
Magic Ring; crochet on chains; increase/decrease of stitches; crochet in continuous rounds, Color change; fasten off.
Depending on the thickness of yarn its consumption and a finished brooch size may differ. I used acrylic/wool yarn 480 m/100 g. The size of my Brooches is 6 cm + 2 cm tail.
Same thickness yarn (acrylic, mohair, angora, wool, etc).
A crochet hook, I used 1,25mm crochet hook.
Hollow fiber toy/cushion filling
All purpose clear transparent glue, e.g. UHU
2 beads for eyes or ready - made eyes, I used 8 mm eyes
A sewing needle, a long needle for sculpting
Grey piece of felt
Dry soft pastels or any other suitable means for tinting (black or grey)
A thin piece of plastic, that you can easily pierce with a needle (e.g. Pringles crisps tube lid)
Brooch base (fastener)
Adhesive Backed Hoop & Loop tape to brush crocheted parts
