Santa Claus, Crochet pattern

I am preparing for Christmas early and have already made this Santa Claus. He has got a red fur coat, a snow white beard and guess what - lots of presents! His fur coat is empty on the inside with a zipper at the bottom - a perfect hiding place for sweets and presents. You may prefer to fill it with hollow fibre instead.

Crocheting level - Experienced
The PDF-pattern consists of 37 pages and has more than 95 colored pictures.
Stitches (US-terminology):
ch – chain
st - stitch
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
dc - double crochet
3 in 1 - 3 sc in 1 loop

Techniques:
Magic Ring; crochet on chains; increase/decrease of stitches; crochet in continuous rounds, working with fluffy yarn, fasten off.

My Santa is 16cm tall
The size of your Santa will depend on the yarn you use. The thicker the yarn the bigger the toy you will get.
The yarn consumption below is based on the thickness of the yarn and crochet hook size I used.
In order to make my Santa I used №1.0mm crochet hook for fine yarn, №1,5mm crochet hook for thicker yarn
Fur coat - red colour yarn, 450m/100g, 50% wool & 50% synthetic or microfiber (34 – 40g)
Head – nude colour yarn 438m/100g, 100% acrylic (approx. 20g)
Ugg boots – Angora Real by Alize 614 grey melange 480m/100g (10-15g)
Beard - white colour soft eyelash type yarn 220m/100g (20-25g) e.g. Eskimo Kisses 5925 White Opal 135m/50g or King Cole Embrace 2230 white 245m/100g, №1.5mm crochet hook
Fur coat lower furry part - Yarnart Breeze 200m/100g (20-25g), 01 white, №1.5 crochet hook

Please pay attention to yarn thickness
The yarn that you will use to make the head, fur coat and ugg boots should be approximately of the same thickness.
The yarn to make the beard should be twice as thick.
Fur coat – red or light blue colour yarn
Head – nude colour yarn
Ugg boots – grey colour yarn
Beard, moustache & eyebrows – fluffy eyelash type white colour yarn
Furry part of the coat – fluffy white colour yarn
Also:
A small amount of pink colour yarn for the mouth and brown colour yarn to make the patches on the ugg boots, 420-450m/100g.
2 beads for eyes or ready - made eyes, I used 8 mm half - beads
Close-end red or white colour zipper, I used 30cm long zipper. In order to measure a required length for your zipper make a sample consisting of 114 chains.
White and red colour sewing cotton threads; brown and light brown colour mouline embroidery floss
A sewing needle, a long needle for sculpting
Strong thread for sculpting (for example tooth floss)
Hollow fiber toy/cushion filling
Dressmaking pins
Hook and loop tape to brush the beard
Lining (optional): 15cm x 25cm thick fabric, transparent piece of plastic e.g. soft drink/water bottle
