A crochet pattern for a sling bag that is so simple to make, comfortable to wear and makes a great fashion-statement addition to your wardrobe. Start at the bottom of the bag and work up, you only need to know a couple of crochet stitches. Complete the bag with an understated edging, add a crocheted button and a flap embellishment to tie it all together.

Skill level: Intermediate.
Instructions: This pattern PDF includes three pages of written instructions.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.

Size: Base - 8 1/2", width - 14", length above base and before handle - 6".
Materials List
Materials: Yarn: The bag shown in the photograph is crocheted in "Everyday" (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Premier Yarns. Since gauge is not crucial on this project, you can use almost any worsted weight or size 4 yarn. You will need approximately 500 yards to complete this design.
Tools: U.S. sizes G and H crochet hooks.

I really wanted the pattern to make a crochet waistcoat for myself like the one I made for myself when i was about 29 years old which is a long time ago now. I'm 79 yrs old now

Fantastic pattern
Not an easy pattern to follow (I ended up sewing each flower together separately as I couldn't get the hang of the joining. It still turned out well though.
