BB stands for basic beanie. It is a plain and simple hat worked from the bottom to the top in worsted weight yarn.
While the pattern is written for the use of DPNs, it can easily be adjusted to circular needles.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Difficulty level: easy (knit and purl, easy decreases, working in the round on DPNs or circular needles)

k: knit
p: purl
m1: make 1: insert left hand needle from front to back under the strand of yarn after the stitch just worked and knit this new stitch through the back loop
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
stockinette stitch: knit all stitches

Gauge: 19 stitches/30 rows in stockinette stitch = 10cm/4in.

Size Information

Size: adult medium, 45cm (18in) circumference unstretched, stretches to 54cm (21 1/2in), 20cm (9in) in height.

Materials List

Yarn: Filati da Collezione Tirolo (50% wool, 40% acrylic, 10% rayon; 125m/50g; 137yds/1.76oz), 1 ball. Any worsted weight yarn will work for the pattern. Sample used 112m (123yds).

Needles: 4mm/US 6 set of 5 DPNs or circular needles

Notions: yarn needle, 1 stitch marker (only needed when using circular needles)
