Crochet pattern for a picture book

Crochet pattern for a colourful picture book showing 8 simple items appropriate for toddlers (heart, house, apple, teddy, boat, fish, flower and soother).

This tutorial will accompany you step by step to receive a first toy which promotes your baby’s activity. Pictures and diagrams will help you to understand the production process.

If you use cotton yarn with a yardage of 280y/3.5 oz (125m/50g) and a hook size 2.5, the book’s side length will become approx. 8 cm. If you want to fix the book e.g. at your buggy or baby seat you additionally need a button or hook-and-loop fastener to build a loop.

This tutorial does not include crochet basics, but requires some experience. The following techniques are used: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, crochet in rows, colour change (crochet terms in British English!).
