IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished wreath.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both PDF versions are part of the download.
Seven white snowballs, each with an orange nose and its own accessory: a bow, a colourful cone hat, a hat in colour-changing yarn, a nest with a red bird, ear muffs, a top hat and a dark red scarf. Sewn together they form a door wreath of approx. 35 to 40 cm in diameter – but the snowballs can just as well be hung up individually.
The snowball itself is always the same base pattern; only the number of straight rounds makes it bigger or more oval. So after the first ball you already know it by heart and can concentrate on the little extras.
If you run into any trouble, or if an error has slipped in somewhere: please message me FIRST, before leaving a review – we'll sort it out together!
Required skills: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, double crochet, magic ring, increase and decrease.
The pattern is a detailed step-by-step PDF with 27 photos. Every round/row is written out individually, with stitch counts.
Skill level: easy to intermediate – only basic stitches are needed, but there are a lot of small pieces.
Finished size: the wreath itself measures approx. 30 cm; with half a snowball at the top and at the bottom this adds up to approx. 35 to 40 cm in diameter.
Gauge: 26 stitches × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in.
Yarn used: Schachenmayr Catania. All pieces are worked with the 3 mm hook, only the nest with the 4 mm hook.
• 100 g white
• 50 g black
• scraps in orange, red, yellow, lilac, purple, dark red, green, light green, beige, brown and colour-changing yarn
• 14 black half beads, 8 mm
• 26 black half beads, 6 mm
• one pair of black safety eyes, approx. 9 mm
• stuffing
• crochet hook 3 mm and 4 mm (the 4 mm only for the nest), darning needle, scissors, glue, pink powder for the cheeks
You are welcome to sell your finished snowmen, as long as you include a note "Made from a pattern by Masche-fuer-Masche" with a link to my shop. The pattern itself is for private use only – it may not be sold, gifted, shared or published in any way, in any language.
You can download the pattern immediately after receipt of payment.
