Crochet Glowing Ghosts – Three Ghosts for LED Tea Lights (EN & DE)

Crochet glowing ghosts — three little ghosts that go over an LED tea light and shimmer from within. PDF pattern, instant download, in English and in German.

All three ghosts are worked in white and are left unstuffed — that is what lets the tea light shine through the crochet. Head and body are made in one piece, eyes and mouth are cut from black felt and glued on, so every ghost gets a face of its own. What tells the three apart is what they hold in their little hands: a small spider with legs made from thick thread, a rust-coloured bead chain, or a pumpkin with a green vine. One ball of white yarn is enough for all three together.

Worked in spiral rounds; the parts are then sewn on, face and accessories are glued on.
Every round is numbered and the stitch count is given at the end of each round.
Difficulty: easy to intermediate — mostly single crochet, a few small parts and some sewing.

The ghosts are placed over standard LED tea lights.
Yarn used: Schachenmayr Catania (125 m / 50 g), 3 mm hook.

The materials are enough for all three ghosts:

• 50 g cotton yarn in white (main colour)
• scraps in black, rust-orange and light green
• a small piece of black felt for eyes and mouth
• approx. 24 cm of thick black thread for the spider legs
• 1 pair of eyes for the spider, approx. 5 mm
• 1 black bead, approx. 6 mm
• a tiny scrap of stuffing (only for the little hands and the accessories)
• 3 LED tea lights
• crochet hook to match your yarn, darning needle, scissors, glue
