IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF crochet pattern, NOT the finished item.
This pattern is included in English AND German – both versions are part of the download, 9 pages each.
Crochet a cocoa mug – a PDF crochet pattern for a little striped mug of hot cocoa with a thick swirl of cream on top. A real push button sits hidden under the cream: you feel the button give way under your finger and you hear the click – both at once, just like a ballpoint pen. Finished size approx. 10 cm tall.
No rattle and no squish, but a real switch – again and again, as often as you like. The mug stands up on its own, has nothing sticking out and sits nicely in your hand.
With a face or without – both versions are written out.
About the push button: you can get it from any electronics shop for pennies. It is usually sold in a bulk pack only – about $8.99 for 70 switches with caps (as of 20 September 2026), and that pack will last you for every clicker you ever crochet. The exact part name and two sources – one for the US, one for Europe – are in the pattern, with a QR code to scan if you have printed it out.
And if you simply cannot get hold of the switch: the mug works without it too, just as a quiet little decoration.
Pattern in English and German, 9 pages each
Two versions: with a face and without
Made from scraps – no full ball of yarn needed
Explained step by step, with photos for every stage
Every round and every row written out, with the stitch count at the end
Instant download after purchase
HOW YOU GET YOUR PATTERN
The PDF is ready to download in your account right after your purchase. You will also receive a confirmation by email – please check your spam folder if it does not arrive.
Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me. On some photos the background was AI-generated or digitally edited.
If you run into any trouble or something is unclear, please send me a message first – I am happy to help and we will sort it out together. The review can wait until after that, I would much prefer it that way.

Finished size: approx. 10 cm / 4 inches tall
Crocheted with Schoeller + Stahl Limone and a 2.5 mm hook (US B/1 – C/2).
