Crochet a Tractor – with Trailer and Digger Shovel to Swap (EN & DE)

A red tractor to cuddle and play with – and with one swap it turns into a digger. Both the trailer and the digger shovel are part of the pattern and attach to the crocheted coupling, whichever one is needed. Three hay bales and a pumpkin come along for the load.

Every piece is described step by step and illustrated with photos from the making, the sewing together included. The result is a soft vehicle with nothing that can break off, and it fits any small hand.

Chains, single crochet, slip stitches, magic circle, half double crochet, double and triple crochet, increases and decreases, front and back post double crochet.
Worked partly in rounds, partly in rows; the pieces are sewn together afterwards.
Every step is described separately and accompanied by photos.
Difficulty:

The tractor will be about 35 cm long, when finished.

Cotton yarn, weight 2.5–3.5 mm (I used Schachenmayr Catania, 125 m):

• 200 g red
• 100 g grey
• 100 g black
• 50 g beige
• Left overs in white, orange, green and yellow
• Stuffing
