Size Information

I used Schachenmayr Catania yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook.

With the stated yarn and crochet hook the finished Train is approx. 42 cm long, 10 cm wide and 15 cm high.

The size also depends on how tight or loose you crochet. If you use another yarn as stated, you have to match the size of your crochet hook accordingly to the yarn size and also the amount of yarn balls, whereby the size can also vary.

Schöner Weihnachtszug

Hsb ich für meinen Freund zu Weihnachten gemacht. Nicht zu spät anfangen, denn er ist doch etwas aufwendiger an Details als gedacht. Meine damit allerdings eher die Menge als die Anleitung. Die Anleitung ist gut verständlich. Den Zug habe ich dann mit Moosgummi im Innern der Wagen verkleidet.

Which stitch is meant by half treble crochet (htc) in the US manual? That stitch does not exist in US terminology, only in UK terminology. In US terms it's a half double crochet (hdc) and that stitch is already mentioned. Same in the Dutch/German manual: "half dubbel stokje"/"hdStb. halbes Doppelstäbchen" does not exist in Dutch/German.

  Hello. The htc is between a dc and a tc.
  Doing a tc, you are pulling the yarn three times through 2 loops on the hook. For a htc you have to pull the yarn only twice. That means, you have pull through 2 loops first and than yarn over and pull through the remaining 3 loops on the hook.
