YPS sweater, knitting pattern

Product description

The YPSsweater women is, like its little kids’ version, an everyday favorite wardrobe staple, easy to style and easy to wear. The name YPS is short for Ypsilon (the German word for the letter “Y”, as the YPStop reminds of this letter) and it’s part of the Yps-Capsule-Collection (for adults: YPStop, YPScardigan, for kids: YPSdress, YPScardigan)
The construction is unique, it’s worked bottom up, starting with a split hem, next the body is worked in the round, then separated at the underarm to shape back and fronts using short rows. Then, stitches for the sleeves are cast on and worked together with the upper fronts and back in garter stitch to be joined at shoulders with the 3-needle method (or grafting). Pattern contains optional instructions for using the hybrid method for working the upper part first and finishing the sweater top down. Helpful schematic sketches are provided for the unique instructions. Pattern includes options for wide or narrow sleeves.

Raffiniertes Muster!
