Knitting pattern, Alesia blouse

Product description

The ALESIA blouse features a small all-over lace rib motif, created only with the help of yarnovers and decreases. This circular yoke blouse is worked top-down, starting with a garter stitch crew neck. Increases are worked to establish columns of lace rib motifs, one after the other, evenly spaced across the yoke. After several rounds, you will mark 4 raglan positions and work raglan increases. This hybrid construction combines the snug fit of a circular yoke around the upper body (neck and shoulders) with the tailored ease of raglan increases, creating additional width at the lower underarm for optimal arm mobility.
To obtain a higher back neck, additional pattern repeats are worked flat across the back stitches before separating the sleeves from the body. The sleeve stitches are then placed on hold and underarm stitches are cast on. These stitches will be integrated into the lace motif when working the body straight in the round, until you finish it with a small garter stitch hem. The sleeves, also worked in the round, are finished with a cuff in garter stitch as well and can be customized to your preference: long or short.

Materials List

NEEDLES
Circular needle to obtain gauge; recommended needle size: 3.5 mm (US 4) with a length of at least 80 cm (32 inches); optional: double-pointed needles (if you don’t want to work the sleeves with the magic loop method).
Possibly, you might need to go up a needle size for the sleeves as gauge often changes when working on small circumference in the round.

Raffiniertes Muster!
Ich musste die Anleitung mehrmals durchlesen bis ich das Prinzip der Zunahmen verstanden hatte. Die schematischen Zeichnungen der Zunahmen waren dabei sehr hilfreich. Hat dann gut funktioniert!
