Knitting Pattern | NIZZA Shirt & Slipover | seamless | 9 sizes

Product description

NIZZA Shirt & Slipover is a timeless classic without any frills at first glance – but with some highlights.
I combined Garter Stitch, faux seams and a split hem to create a versatile and comfortable piece that is a wardrobe essential you’ll frequently reach for. It is a very basic shape that can be dressed up or down.
This version uses a cotton and viscose blend. It can be worn as a sleeveless top during the warmer seasons or as a vest layered over a long sleeve tee during the winter.
It is knit seamlessly from bottom to top. You can easily adjust the length to your own wishes.

CONSTRUCTION
NIZZA is a seamless construction knit from the bottom up. Starting with a split hem, the body is joined in the round and then separated for front and back. The remainder is worked flat, shaping the shoulders with Short Rows and then finished with an exposed seam created using the
3-Needle Bind-Off.

Pattern is testknitted and tech-edited. Please see photos (different sizes & colors) from my great testknitters.

Materials List

YARN SUGGESTION & YARDAGE:
Sample shown in:
Lana Grossa ”Diversa” | 74 % cotton, 26 % viscose | 50 g = 210 m = 230 yards | colorway 002 (pink beige) or 004 (terracotta)

Of course, it is possible to use other yarns or colors of your choice that meet gauge.

NOTIONS:

  • 3.5 mm (US 4) – 80 cm | 32” to 100 cm | 40” circular needle
  • Two more needles (same size) for 3-Needle Bind-Off
  • Optional: 3.25 mm (US 3) or 3.0 mm (US 2.5) – 80 cm | 32” to 100 cm | 40” circular needle (for the purl rounds in Garter Stitch)
  • 10 stitch markers | scissors | tapestry needle| tape measure | stitch holders or waste yarn for placing sleeve stitches on hold | blocking tools

Use the needle size you need to obtain gauge.

Yardage approx. (750 / 800 / 850) (950 / 1,050 / 1,200) (1,350 / 1,450 / 1,600) m | (820 / 875 / 930) (1,039 / 1,148 / 1,312) (1,476 / 1,586 / 1,750) yards

GAUGE:
21.5 stitches x 18 ridges = 10 x 10 cm | 4“ in Garter Stitch | measured unstretched before washing/blocking
22.
Please note that two rows/rounds in Garter Stitch create one ridge. I recommend knitting your gauge swatch in rows AND in rounds.

Schnittmuster
