PATTERN: Aksel Selbu Mittens / Aksel Selbuvotter

These mittens are knit according to the Norwegian Selbu tradition; two-stranded in the round on dpns. The thumb is gusseted and the decreases are made in each side of hand/thumb, so that it lays flat and is pointed.

Gauge:
36 sts per 10 cm/4" using wool yarn 175 metres per 50 grams and dpns size 2.5 mm (or size needed to achieve gauge).
Main colour: approx. 40 grams / 140 metres
Contrast colour: approx. 35 grams / 120 metres
