Welcome to the world of Illusion or Shadow Knitting. This quick dishcloth is a great way to learn the technique, it is super easy. The right side rows are always knitted while the patterning of the wrong side rows create the image. There are 3 garter edge stitches throughout.

From above the piece looks as if it is knitted in two-row stripes. Once viewed from an angle the purl bumps become visible to reveal an image of a cat. The wrong side shows a reverse image of the cat.

Stylecraft Classique Cotton DK 105m/50g one skein in Shade Citronelle 7175 (Yarn A) and one skein in Shade Azure 7198 (Yarn B).

4 mm (US 6) needles at least 25 cm/10" in length or any needles for working flat.
