Special Stitches:
2x2 RIB is formed by alternating 2 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. Care must be taken to purl the stitches which were knitted on the previous row and vice versa.
STOCKING STITCH
Working in the rounds knit all stitches every round.
NOTES
The pants are worked in rounds without seams. The work begins at legs.
INSTRUCTIONS
LEGS
Cats on 52 sts, divide them among 3 needles and join for knitting in the round.
Knit 10 rounds in stocking stitch.
Work in stocking stitch, increasing 1stitch each side every 2nd round 10 times (=72 sts).
Repeat for the second leg.
SHAPE CROTCH
Rnd 1: Knit 72 sts oft he first leg, cast on 10 sts, knit 72 sts oft he second leg, cast on 10 sts.
Rnd 2-3: k all sts.
Rnd 4: 72 ks, k2tog, 6 ks, k2tog, 72 ks.
Rnd 5: k all sts
Rnd 6: 72 ks, k2tog, 4 ks, k2tog, 72 ks.
Rnd 7: k all sts
Rnd 8: 72 ks, k2tog, 2 ks, k2tog, 72 ks.
Rnd 9: k all sts
Rnd 10: 72 ks, k2tog twice, k2tog, 72 ks.
Knit 8 cm in stocking stitch.
Work 8-10 cm in 2x2 rib. Cast off all sts.
FINISHING
Sew crotch seam.
Around legs crochet as follows:
