Free Crochet Pattern 'Love Steps' Summer Shoes Sizes US 5-10 / UK 3.5-8.5

Summer Slippers at Home! Finally, summer is here! It's time to get cozy at home and maybe even go barefoot. But if you prefer to have something on your feet, these crochet summer slippers are perfect. You can customize them to fit your personal style by using different colors or patterns. Add some extra embellishments if you like, and your slippers will be truly one-of-a-kind. And the best part? Here's a free pattern to crochet them yourself!
You'll need:
- Crochet yarn made of cotton or acrylic (e.g. Twister Sport) - a blend of both works well
- 150m/50g yardage
- Size 3 crochet hook
Some helpful tips:
- Keep your crochet tension even, or your shoes might be too tight or too loose. Even tension = happy feet!
- If you're new to crochet, try practicing some simple patterns first. It's a great way to get a feel for the stitches and tension.
- Make your shoes one-of-a-kind! Choose colors and patterns that fit your style.
- Crocheting takes time and patience. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't come out perfectly at first. Practice makes perfect!

Once the desired length is reached, continue working on the shaft and heel. The shaft of your crocheted summer shoes is the part that connects the sole to the toe. Here, you can determine the height and style of your shoes. To do this, without cutting the thread, crochet according to the same principle:
Row 1: Crochet one row from left to right to the toe, working 1 single crochet in each stitch + 1 single crochet in each of 2 stitches of the toe. Turn.
Row 2: Skip 2 stitches of the toe, work 1 single crochet in next stitch and each stitch thereafter + 1 single crochet in each of 2 stitches of the toe. Turn.
Row 3: Change color, skip 2 stitches of the toe and 2 more stitches, work (1 cluster stitch, 1 chain, 1 cluster stitch) in next stitch, 2 chains, skip 3 stitches, (work (1 cluster stitch, 1 chain, 1 cluster stitch) in next stitch, 2 chains, skip 3 stitches) repeat from * to * to end of row. Skip 1 stitch of the toe and work 1 single crochet in 2nd stitch of the toe. Turn
.jpg)
Row 4: Work 2 half double crochet in last stitch of row 2, work 2 single crochet in the chain space between cluster stitches, work 2 half double crochet between both hearts repeat from * to * to end of row. Skip 1 stitch of the toe, work 1 single crochet in 2nd stitch. Turn. Repeat rows 1 to 4 one more time.

Since every foot is different, it's advisable to try on the shoes in between. If the shoe is too loose, you can simply crochet single crochets (sc) together.
