Winter Crochet Fun: Free Pattern for a Festive Gnome Decoration

Size:
worked with Cotton DK Yarn, approx.: 16 x 24 cm
You can also use Aran weighted yarn with which the size will be bigger, just make sure to adjust the crochet hook as well.

Material: 
Crochet hook 3 mm
Cotton DK Yarn in different colours.
White (W): 12 gr.
Black: (B): 5 gr.
Dark blue (B1): 10 gr.
Light blue (B2): 15 gr.
Yellow (Y): 2 gr.
Red: (R): 15 gr.
Orange (O): 2 gr.
Peach for the nose (P): 4 gr.
Beige: (BE): 4 gr.
A stick to hang it up. Approx. 26 cm long.

Important information’s for the pattern:
The beginning chain stitch is not counted as a stitch.
Each row has 40 single crochet stitches, and the even rows are return rows.
A basic understanding of tapestry crochet is essential, as it is not explained in. You should know how to carry yarns, as I do not provide explanations on where the yarn is carried or where a new ball for the same colour is started.

Leave a long tail for the attachment to the stick. Weave in all loose ends, and do not forget to block your piece at the end.

Use a stick of your preferred length and sew each stitch onto the piece using a needle. Attach each stitch securely. At the end, tie a string to create a hanger by making knots on both sides.
