approx 50-60 gr Lana Grossa Basics Forte 80m/50g and Schachenmayr original Extra Merino 130m/50g in light blue and a bit of white for the glasses, crochet hook 6 mm and 3 mm, scissors, yarn needle.

TIPPS
- Join rounds with a slip stitch.
- Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end or the beginning of a round
- All stitches are worked into both loops, unless stated otherwise in the pattern.
- You can use any type of yarn as long as you have a corresponding crochet hook size (check yarn label for recommendations)
- Numbers at the end of each round in parentheses ( ) = total number of stitches for that round or row.
- Please note that I use US crochet terms.
- The hat can be made in any desired colours.
Seamsless way of changing color when working in the round
Pick up the new color at the end of the round: inset your hook into the stitch, yarn over the new color and pull through the stitch and the loop on your hook to complete the stitch.
Front Post Double Crochet:
Yarn over, insert your hook between the posts of the first and second stitch of the row below, and then from back to front again between the posts of the second and third stitches
Yarn over and draw the yarn around the post of the stitch. You now have 3 loops on the hook
Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook, twice.
One front post double crochet (FP dc) is complete.
INSTRUCTIONS
HAT
Rnd 1: Chain 4 stitches, join with sl st into ring. Ch3, 11dc into ring, sl st (12 stitches).
Rnd 2: ch3, dc in the same st as ch, 2 dc in each of next 11 sts, sl st to top of ch 3 (24 stitches)
Rnd 3: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, repeat from*to* 11 times, sl st to top of ch 3 (36 stitches)
Rnd 4: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 st*, repeat from*to* 11 times, sl st to top of ch 3 (48 stitches)
Rnd 5-6: dc in each of next 48 stitches.
Change the color
Rnd 7: chain 3, dc in each of next 48 stitches.
Rnds 8-11: chain 3, dc in each of next 48 stitches.
Do not bind off.
EARFLAPS
R 1: chain 3, dc in each of next 8 stitches, turn the work.
R 2: chain 3, dc2 tog, dc in each of next 3 stitches, dc3tog, turn the work.
R 3: chain 3, dc2 tog, dc into the next stitch, dc3tog.
Bind off.
To make the second earflap count 10 sts from the last stitch of the first earflap to the left and attach yarn into next stitch. Work the second earflap the same way.
GLASSES
Work in light blue color yarn
Rnd 1: chain 5 stitches, sc into the second stitch from the hook and each of next 2 stitches, 6 sc into the next stitch,
working on the other side of foundation chain: sc in each of next 2 stitches, 4 sc into the next stitch, do not turn the work.
Rnd 2: *sc in each of next 4 stitches, 2 sc in each of next 3 stitches*, repeat from* to*.
Rnd 3: 2 sc into the next stitch, sc in each of next 2 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch, *sc into the next stitch, 2 sc into the next stitch*, repeat from* to* 3 times,
2 sc into the next stitch, sc in each of next 2 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch, *sc into the next stitch, 2 sc into the next stitch*, repeat from* to* 3 times.
Rnd 4: sc in each of next 30 stitches.
Rnd 5: 2 sc into the next stitch, sc in each of next 4 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch, *sc in each of next 4 stitches, 2 sc into the next stitch*, repeat from* to* 3 times,
