Unicorn crochet

The plush unicorn for the little secrets. The unicorn will become a wonderful friend to a little girl, you can not only cuddle with him, but also store the small toys, hairpins and secrets in him. The length of the toy is 25 cm, the height from the head to the legs is 20 cm.

- Head, legs, ears, horn are crocheted in spiral rounds. This means that the round will NOT be
finished with a slst.
- Use a stitch marker. A small thread (other colour then your working yarn) helps you
counting the rounds. Just place it at the start of a round on top of your working thread.

All the details except the lining are crocheted with the double thread.

You will need the following:

- Katia Velvet Fine white 300 g. (160 m/ 50 g)

- Katia Fair Cotton brown  for the hooves  60 g (50 g/ 155 m)

- Himalaya Dolphin baby  for the hair and tail

- Crochet hook  3 mm

- Safety eyes  16 mm

- Fiberfill, 1 sewing needle and a tapestry needle

- Zipper

Tighten the stitches, cut the thread and weave in the end.

Tightening of the eyes.

Mark the beginning of the 22nd row with a marker. In this place we begin to do the tightening. Insert a needle from the bottom of the 3 marker and take it out to the left eye from below, go a couple of rows up. Insert a needle in the same way at the left eye, but already from above. Then take it out to the other side to the right eye from above as well. Go a couple of rows down. Insert a needle at the bottom of the right eye and return to the 22nd row to the marker 3. Tighten the threads well, fasten off and weave in the ends. You can repeat the same with the inner corners of the eyes.

Nostrils (make 2)

Chain 5,

sew on the side of the muzzle. 7-8 Row.

Tighten the ears, do not stuff the ears, and sew them, stepping 6- 8 rows up from the eyes.

Fill the legs with fiberfill and place the inner part that you’ve just crocheted into the bag (“body”). Sew a zipper in.

TAIL AND MANE

Crochet 50 ch, from 2 ch from the hook you crochet three sc in each ch

Crochet 63 ch, from 2 ch from the hook you crochet three sc in each ch

Crochet 40 ch, from 2 ch from the hook you crochet three sc in each ch

Thus crochet a necessary for you number of ch and crochet a necessary for you number of rows and stripes. The mane is crocheted similarly. The width of the main for me is 14 stripes. The width of the tail is 7 stripes.

Sew the head onto the body.

Horn

6 6 sc in the magic ring,

Fasten off, leave a thread enough for sewing. Sew the horn between the 26 and 29 rows of the head.

Horn mit km umhäkeln.

Find the 11 row of the legs, crochet sc for the front loops only with the pink color.

Embroider the mouth between the 9 and 10 rows of the head with a double thread, grasping 2 rows at once. Make a couple of stitches, then sew them round.

The eyelashes are embroidered with black yarn.

Tint the cheeks with pink color. I used dry crayons for tinting.

Draw with a crayon on paper, then collect the resulting grains with a brush and apply them to the toy in the necessary places.
