Free Crochet Pattern for Baby Booties Orchid

MATERIAL

ca 50 gr cotton yarn Schachenmayr Catania 137yrd/ 50g, Sport Yarn 5ply in main color and contrast color, crochet hook C.

Ch =chain

St= stitch

Sc=single crochet

Hdc= half double crochet

scbp=single crochet back post

Sl st= slip stitch

Dc= double crochet

Dc2tog = double crochet 2 stitches together

INSTRUCTIONS

SOLE

Rnd 1: With main color start at center of the sole with chain of 16 stitches.

Rnd 2: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each of next 13 ch, 3 sc in next ch, then, working in other side of  base ch, sc in each of next 13 ch, 2 sc in next ch and 2 sc in next sc.

I don´t join rounds with the help of slip stitch but crochet in a circle.

Rnd 3: sc in each of next 13 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc in each of next 13 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc.

Rnd 4: sc in each of next 8 sc, hdc in each of next 3 sc, dc in each of next 3 sc, 2 dc in each of next 6 sc,

dc in each of next 3 sc, hdc in each of next 3 sc, sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc twice, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc.

Rnd 5: sc in each of next 8 sc, hdc in each of next 3 hdc, dc in each of next 6 dc, 2 dc in each of next 6 dc, dc in each of next 6 dc, hdc in each of next 3 hdc, sc in each of next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc.

Rnd 6:  sc in each of next 60 st around.

Rnd 7: scbp worked in each of the next 60 sc around, sl st.

SIDES

Rnd 1: ch3, dc in the same st as ch and each of next 2 sts, *ch 1, skip next st, dc in each of next 3 sts*, repeat from* to* till the end of Rnd, sl st.

Rnd 2: ch 4, skip next 3 sts, 3 dc in next ch-1 space, *ch 1, skip next 3 sts, 3 dc in next ch-1 space*, repeat from* to* till the end of Rnd, sl st.

Rnd 3: ch 3, 2 dc in next ch-1 space, *ch 1, skip next 3 sts, 3 dc in next ch-1 space*, repeat from* to* till the end of Rnd, sl st.

Rnd 4: ch 1, sc in each of next 10 sts, ch 1, *3 dc cluster , ch 1, skip next st*, repeat from* to* 7 times, sc in each of next 20 sts, sl st.

Rnd 5: ch 1, sc in the same st as ch and each of next 9 sts, *3 dc cluster* 5 times, sc in each of next 20 sts, sl st.

Cut the yarn.

Rnd 6 in contrast color: chain 1, sc in the same st as ch, *ch 6, skip next 4 or 5 sts, sc in next st*, repeat from * to* till the end of Rnd (=7 chain spaces).

Rnd 7: ch1, *in ch-6 space work sc, hdc, 5 dc, hdc, sc*, repeat from * to* 7 times.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

The sole crochet with crab stitch (reverse single crochet). Sew satin roses to hat and booties.
