"Rabbit" Cosy for a mug

Materials:
- Smooth or textured yarn, of your choice. I used acrylic 250 m/100 g and textured yarn Briz Yarnart 200 m/100 g. 
- Colour - of your choice 
- For applique: acrylic or cotton yarn. I used 250 m/ 100 acrylic yarn. 
- Colours - pink, red.
- For eyes - thin white colour cotton, 2 times thinner than the main yarn, and 2 beads. 
- A crochet hook. I used 1.5 and 1.0.
- A sewing needle
- Sewing threads 
- Button
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc - double crochet 
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
 (...) x N times – repeat instructions in brackets N times

Cosy

Try it on as you go. The number of rounds may vary depending on the size of your cosy.
Start with the smooth yarn. 
1) 7 sc in Magic Ring
2) 7 inc (14)
3) (inc, 1 sc)х 7 times (21)
4) (1 sc, inc, 1 sc)х 7 times (28)
5) (inc, 3 sc)х 7 times (35)
6) (2 sc, inc, 2 sc)х 7 times (42)
7) (inc, 5 sc)х 7 times (49)
8) (3 sc, inc, 3 sc)х 7 times (56)

9) work 56 sc into the back loops only
Change yarn to textured. 

10-11) 56 sc
12) 56 sc, ch, turn
13) 50 sc, ch, turn

Leave several loops untied (I have 6) - this is the width of the handle of the mug.
Crochet with turning rows. Do not crochet 1.5 - 2 cm to the edge of the mug.
14-26) 50 sc, ch, turn
27) 50 sc, do not cut the thread. 

For the loop make 22 ch, join into a ring with a sl st. 
Crochet the chain with sc. Fasten the thread, cut off. 

Sew the button.

 
Ears, internal part (make 2) 
Crochet with pink colour yarn.
17 ch.
1) from the second loop from hook: 2 sc, 2 hdc, 8 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 3 sc in last loop, continue further along the other side of chain: 1 sc, 2 hdc, 8 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc (33)
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Ears, outer part (make 2)
Crochet with the main colour yarn.
17 ch.
1) from the second loop from hook: 2 sc, 2 hdc, 8 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc, 3 sc in last loop, continue further along the other side of chain:1 sc, 2 hdc, 8 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, ch, turn (33)
Connect 2 ear details together, crochet: 33 sc.
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Tail
1) 6 sc in Magic Ring
2) 6 inc (12)
3) (1 sc, inc)х 6 times (18)
4) 18 sc
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Sew the ears and tail onto the right side from the button. Look at the photo. 

Nose
Crochet with pink colour yarn.
4 ch.
1) from the second loop from hook: 2 sc, 3 sc in last loop, continue further along the other side of chain: 1 sc, inc (8)
2) (1 sc, inc)х 4 times (12)
3) ( dec, 1 sc)х 4 times (8)
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Eyes
Crochet with thin white colour yarn. 
1) 6 sc in Magic Ring
2) 6 inc (12)
3) 12 sc
4) (1 sc, dec)х 4 times (8)
5) 2 dec, pull off the loops. 
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Bow
Crochet with red colour yarn.
15 ch.
1) from the second loop from hook: 14 sc, ch, turn (14)
2-4) into the back loops only: 14 sc, ch, turn (14)
Fasten the thread, cut off.

Sew the nose, eyes and bow onto the left side from the loop. Embroider pupils or sew the beads.
