Cork Hot Pad Cover Crochet Pattern Kitchen Decoration Coaster Mandala Retro

Product description

Turn your basic cork hot pads into some cheery and colorful ones, to match your kitchen and table setting beautifully!
This pattern describes in US terminology, how to crochet a lovely hot pad cover, as shown in pictures, made using sport weight cotton yarn and crochet hook D (3 mm).
Each hot pad cover will be made in 2 separate panels, to cover the front and back side of a cork hot pad. Front and back panels are joined together with single crochet and finished off with a combination of single crochet and bobble stitches.
In this pattern, you will be working in rounds joined with a slst at the end.

Schachenmayr / SMC Catania was used to create the pictured hot pad covers. Finished size will be approx. 8.2” (21 cm) in diameter, including the edge.

Skill level: intermediate crochet.
Approx. Gauge: To make sure the panels will fit your hot pad, you may need to check your gauge; crochet rounds 1 - 4 of the panel pattern and measure your work. It should be approx. 3.54” (9 cm) in diameter. If it’s not, try again changing your tension, or size crochet hook.
