When the heather is in full bloom, it announces the end of summer. The scent of herbs and grasses and the colorful variety of blossoms takes us on a sensual journey....

The fine, needle-like leaves and the long inflorescences of the broom heather were the inspiration for this pattern. The socks are knitted with a combination of rib and lace patterns for a varied knitting experience. The socks are knitted top-down. You can knit the leg in your desired height. The heel (with heel flap and short row heel turn) is explained in detail so that you will master it perfectly!

Original yarn:
HIPPIE-FIBRES „Alpaca Sock Yarn” hand dyed (20% Alpaca superfine, 60% Merino Wool and 20% Nylon, yardage 437 yd = 400 m/100 g), color „Lime Night”

Yarn consumption:
Between 55 g = 240 yd (220 m) and 73 g = 319 yd (292 m) depending on size and yarn.

Alternative yarns: Any other 4-ply sock yarn with yardage about 437 – 465 yd = 400 - 425 m/100 g

Needles:
1 circular needle (for Magic-Loop-Method) or Addi-Trio-Needles 2.25 – 2.5 mm = US 1 – 1.5 / UK 13 – 12.5 or needle size to obtain gauge.
