Penguin crochet pattern, chunky penguin amigurumi pattern, chubby plushie

Flipi and Flopi the little penguins.

Following this pattern I have created 2 versions of the penguin, the big and the small one.
Includes a PDF document of 9 pages with step by step detailed instructions and lots of images to help you along the way.

Beginner-intermediate

If you use the yarn and hook indicated, the big penguin will be about 10.5 cm (4.1 inches) tall and the small penguin will be about 5 cm (1,9 inches) tall. You can make it bigger or smaller using another type of yarn but, please, adapt the crochet hook and eyes accordingly.

Materials for the big penguin:

· Bulky yarn (velvet/ chenille) . I used “Himalaya Dolphin Baby” 100g/120m (100% Micro Polyester), white #80301 and orange #80316. And Leami Chenille Soft Uni #132 grey-blue. Similar yarns: Katia Bambi, YarnArt Dolce, Hobbii Baby Snuggle.
· Black embroidery thread
· 4.5 mm crochet hook
· Polyester fiberfill
· Yarn needle
· Stitch marker
· 10 mm black safety eyes

Materials for the small penguin:

· Yarn (blue, white and orange). I used Hilaturas LM “cotton Nature 2.5” 50g/170m. Similar yarns: Any sport or DK light weight yarn (Scheepjes Catona, katia Panama etc.)
· 2 mm crochet hook
· Polyester fiberfill
· Yarn needle
· Stitch marker
· 4.5 mm black safety eyes
