The knitting pattern for a baby blanket in a contemporary chevron design. Perfect for beginners - it features a detailed description and only requires knit and purl stitches. The pattern is easy and relaxing, but fun enough to knit. This pattern is in English.
This one here is a very sentimental pattern for me, because I first made this blanket while expecting my daughter.
Includes row by row instructions to make two sizes (see below).
SKILL LEVEL: beginner.
Newborn: 60x60 cm (24x24 in.)
Baby/crib: 75x90 cm (30x35 in.)
Receiving: 90x90 cm (35x35 in.)
Toddler: 105x130 cm (41x51 in.)
Throw: 130x160 cm (51x63 in.)
YARN: Any aran/worsted weight yarn (weight 4) meeting gauge requirements. Merino wool is usually best for babies if you’re going for a natural fibre. You are looking for approximately 90m/50g.
GAUGE: 18 stitches to 26 rows in 10x10cm (4x4’’) in stitch pattern, blocked.
NEEDLES: 5mm (8 US) cable needles with a sufficiently long cable or needles needed to obtain gauge.
