An essential baby beanie with a playful top knot. The pattern is beginner friendly and easy to follow.
The beanie is worked in the round without seams, from the bottom up. Pattern support is available via e-mail and I normally respond within 24 hours.
SKILL LEVEL: beginner
SKILLS USED: cast on, knit in the round, basic decreases (k2tog, psso). Other techniques included a detailed photo tutorial.
INSTRUCTION TYPE: written, photo tutorial
Eight sizes are available with a measurement reference table (Preemie, Newborn, 1-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years).
NEEDLES & NOTIONS:
4.5 mm (7 US) double point needles (DPNs) or circular needles for working in magic loop technique. Use smaller or larger needles to obtain the required gauge.
Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends, four stitch markers (for magic loop only).
Optional: round counter.
YARN & GAUGE
Any worsted weight yarn that meets the gauge requirements or 18 stitches and 24 rows in 10cm/2.5 in.
You will need approximately 40/46/52/58/68/74/80/88 meters (44/50/57/63/74/81/87/96 yards) of worsted yarn for a hat depending on the selected size.
Original yarn: Sublime Yarns Extra Fine Merino Worsted (colorway Blue Moon/545).
