PATTERN: Tinde Baby Mittens ~ crochet virka hekle haken häkeln tejer

The Tinde Baby Mitten is a crocheted mitten with motif inspired by snowclad mountains.

It fits babies from newborn and up to about 6 months, but bear in mind that baby hands vary in size.

The pattern contains written instructions, chart and lots of photos. It has a section called Tips & Explanations where different techniques are explained.

Languages: English (US terms) and Norwegian.

The two main techniques used are slip stitch crocheting (NO: pjoning) and the waistcoat stitch. The cuff is crocheted in rows and then sewn together, and then the hand is crocheted on the cuff with two colours in the round. The idle thread is worked inside the stitch, so there are no loose ends on the inside. I-cord for keeping the mittens together.

All techniques are explained with photos.

Finished measurments are: Length 13.5 cm/5.3” (cuff 5.5 cm/2.1” and hand 7.5 cm/2.9”) and circumference at base of hand is 16 cm/6.3”.

Yarn: Drops Merino Extra Fine, one skein each colour (alternatives: Debbie Bliss Rialto DK or Ashford Merino DK)
Hook: 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm
