Crochet pattern for a play mat with a street map of 9 different tiles

The different tiles can be connected to a play mat with a street map on it. This tutorial will accompany you step by step to receive a creative and varied toddler’s toy.

The tutorial includes detailed photos an diagrams to understand the production process. It does not include crochet basics but requires some experience, nevertheless it is suitable for beginners. The following techniques are used: chain stitch, double crochet, crochet in rows, colour change (crochet terms in British English!).

If you use cotton yarn with a yardage of 100y/3.5 oz (90m/50g) and a hook size 3.5, the tiles will get a side length of approx. 17 cm. The toy is suitable for children from 2 years and older.
