The tutorial includes detailed photos an diagrams to understand the production process. It does not include crochet basics but requires some experience, nevertheless it is suitable for beginners. The following techniques are used: chain stitch, double crochet, crochet in rows, colour change (crochet terms in British English!).

If you use cotton yarn with a yardage of 100y/3.5 oz (90m/50g) and a hook size 3.5, the tiles will get a side length of approx. 17 cm. The toy is suitable for children from 2 years and older.
