Beanies "Tara" (all sizes, sporty & slouchy)

The PDF crochet tutorial consists of illustrated tutorial for crocheting beanies "Tara" with the zig-zag pattern. The hat can be crocheted sporty or slouchy. The calculations for sporty and slouchy are given in the pattern as well as the formula how to calculate your own hat height.This hat can be crocheted for children as well as for adults (women and men). With this pattern you can crochet a sports hat for your next ski holiday in any size for you and your child (grandchild).

For the zig-zag pattern I have created a video with the explanation (from the 5th round of the basic pattern). It has been uploaded as an additional file to the PDF file. This video makes crocheting the zig-zag pattern much easier.

Attention! The beanies are crocheted partially (only the shank) with the sl st. Crocheting with the sl st, inserted either in the back loops only or in the front loops only of the previous row, requires a little practice. Before you start crocheting, practice crocheting with an old thick wool (wool scraps). After a few practices, crochet with sl st will work out very quickly. Otherwise, crochet very loosely, take the crochet hook 0.5 to 1 size larger than recommended for your wool.

All sizes. The size will be adjusted as you crochet the cuff, depending on the number of rows (the calculation is given in the pattern).

• For sporty beanie: 150 g Merino Extrafine from Drops, composition: 100% pure new wool, run length approx. 105 m/50 g, color no.: 49 (brown). For CH to 50 cm you need only 100 gr.
• Crochet hook no. 4 and 4.5 (EU-size)
• For a slouchy beanie: 150 g of the wool Yarn and Colors "Charming", 50 g/115 m, 68% cotton, 32% acrylic, fabric no. 027 (brown). For CH up to 50 cm you only need 100 gr. Note: this wool is hard to unwove.
• Crochet hook no. 3.5 and 4 (EU-size)
