“Meril” is a beautiful scarf which can be customized in length and width as well as in the choice of yarn. Even in DK-weight yarn the pattern is still an eye-catcher, while it acts wonderfully soft and airy in lace-yarn.

Extending the report the scarf turns into a stole or wrap that fits into a delicate summer dress or evening wear.
To get a cowl or a loop just knit some buttonholes at the start or the end of the shawl.

The shawl is knitted seamless from bottom to top.

Needed Materials:

• approx. 437 - 1750 yards of laceweight to fingering weight yarn
• knitting needle size 2.5 - 4
• stitch markers
• sewing needle
• a small amount of spray starch

Basic skills necessary:

Knit, purl, yarn over, increase, decrease, slip

Gauge is not necessary because the shawl can be worked in every desired width or length.

The pattern runs 7 pages and contains charts (no written pattern!) and a schematic.
