decorational shells crochet pattern

With this crochet pattern you can bring the summer into the house. The mussels can be used as decorations, as small gift wrapping, as a planter, or as a small bag.

For the somewhat more difficult part of crocheting the two parts together, there is a small video to help.

The manual is 6 pages long and contains a lot of photos.

The shells will be about 15 to 25 cm/ 6 to 10 inches tall, without the wooden parts.
I used drops cotton light, 50 g 105 m/ 115 yds.
Gauge with a 10/ d hook : 18 stitches 20 rows= 10 10 cm/ 4* 4 inches.

needed equipment:

• hook 12 and 10/ C and D
• darning needle
• scissors
• glue/ hot glue
• paste
• a drill, the same size, as the sticks

needed materials:

per shell:

• about 30 g/ 50 g drops cotton light in turquoise, mint, white and dark grey
• a wooden stick, about 25 cm/ 10 inches long, or something similar in black
• a piece of wood or bark to put the sticks in (if at hand, I would prefer a piece of driftwood)
