GAUGE
With US 2.5 (3.0 mm) with p (WS) and k (RS) stitches
30 sts x 38 rnds = 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm)

ABBREVIATIONS

CO = cast on

DS = double stitch. Slip the first stitch purlwise with yarn in front. Pull the working yarn up and back very tightly until two “legs” appear.

k = knit

k1-tbl = knitting through the back loop. Insert the needle from the right to the left into the back. knit the stitch this way so it ends up twisted.

p1-tbl = Insert the right needle from left to right into the back of the stitch on the left needle to twist it and purl the twisted stitch

p3tog = purl three together (is a double decrese)

p = purl

ssp = Slip the next two stitches, one at a time. Place them back on the left needle and Purl these two stitches together through their back loops

yo = yarn over

RS = right side

WS = wrong side

ndl(s) = needle(s)

DPN(s) = double-pointed needle(s)

st(s) = stitch(es)

tbl = through back loop
