Zyndi the Banded Sole is named for its long oval shape, reminiscent of a sole. Zyndi is not at all like other fish. She is a flatfish and has her two large goggle eyes on the right side of her body (eye side). By the way, this is how it is with all sole. With its left side (blind side) it lies on the bottom of the sea, preferably in the sand.
The basic coloration of the sole is gray brownish on the eye side. Their body is completely covered with dark cross bands.
