NUDIBRANCHES IN NATURE
Nudibranches literally come in all sizes, shapes and colors. This type of sea snail is also called a night gill because they are often buried in the sand during the day and only become active at night. Divers therefore like to call them "nudis" for short. Nudis are hermaphrodites, but need another nudi for fertilization. They lay their eggs in ribbon-like spiral egg packs. Thus, this small animal can lay up to 300 eggs in its lifetime.
