For the yarn you best use sheep or alpaca wool or their blended yarns (for instance sock wool) in any yardage and amount. Cotton and linen are less suitable.

I knitted the scarf with home dyed alpaca yarn. Also yarns with a smooth colour gradient (like Schoppel Zauberball or DROPS Delight) are suitable, as well as unicoloured yarns which are combined in sections.

Ich stricke zur Zeit diesen Schal mit Gomitolo Arte (175 m/50 g) und habe nun die ersten 30 R vom rechten Schalteil gestrickt. Bis jetzt war die Anleitung sehr gut und verständlich, aber nun bin ich auf folgendes Problem gestoßen: es heißt, man solle diesen Teil "bis zur gewünschten Länge" stricken. Das ist ja schön und gut, aber wenn ich wie für den Musterschal angegeben 200 g Garn habe, wie berechne ich denn dann, wann ich den rechten Teil abketten soll, damit nicht nur ausreichend Garn für den linken Schalteil, sondern auch noch für die Häkelumrandung vorhanden ist? Eine Zentimeterangabe oder die Angabe der Reihenanzahl wäre hier nötig, so bin ich leider aufgeschmissen. Schade für die Investition von Zeit und Geld. 😟

ich glaube, es ist offensichtlich, dass man sich bei diesem Wellenmuster schwer tut, exakte Längenmaße anzugeben.
Wie wäre es, wenn du dein restliches Garn in vier Teile aufteilst (z. B. abwiegst), und dann für die kürzere Seite ein Viertel und für die längere zwei Viertel verwendest. Das 4. Viertel nimmst du für die Umrandung.
