Skills Required / What You'll Receive

The pattern is written in English, using American crochet terminology, and includes US/UK conversion charts for both stitches and hook sizes.

For beginners instructions of basic crochet stitches are provided.

Noah is crocheted in one piece starting from body up to the tail, and then flippers, belly, eyes and spout are sewn on separately.

Difficulty Level: advanced beginner.
Skills required are sl st, sc, hdc, color change and increase/decrease sts.

Size Information

Finished Size: if done with cotton sport yarn, 2.5mm hook, it is 9cm (3.5”) high and 16cm (6.2”) wide. This may vary depending on the yarn and hook size you decide to use.

Materials List

Cotton Yarn Sport / 5ply / Fine. Usage based on 1 Ball = 50g/1.75oz - 125m/137y.

Whale: approx 35g (1.2oz) pale orange
Belly: approx 9g (0.3oz) honey
Tail: small quantity of yellow and orange
Spout: small quantity of blue
Eyes: small quantity of black and white embroidery floss
Fiberfill

Whale: 2.5mm crochet hook (US B/1 – C/2)
Eyes: 1.5mm hook (8 US steel crochet hook)
