This tutorial will accompany you step by step to receive a first toy which promotes your toddler’s motor activity. Many pictures will help you to understand the production process.

If you use cotton yarn with a yardage of 100y/3.5 oz (90m/50g) and a hook size 3.5, the tower will become about 18 cm high and the cup’s diameter will vary between 4.5 and 9 cm. You can use any yarn you like, but you should take into account that the cups get adequate stability.

This tutorial does not include crochet basics but requires some experience, nevertheless it is suitable for beginners. The following techniques are used: chain stitch, slip stitch, double crochet, crochet in rounds (crochet terms in British English!).
