Knitting Pattern Shawl "Nord & Nordwest"

Nord & Nordwest is an asymmetrical triangular shawl that makes a multi skein gradient shine. The colored spots fit effectively into the continuous ribbed structure of the shawl.

The sample is worked in an unusually light yarn, with a long yardage. This beautiful gradient was dyed by Yundi&Grete.

Size:
ca. 102” / 260 cm long and 18” / 45 cm deep.

The pattern can be modified to make a smaller version, by using only 4 colors. Final length in this case would be ca. 78” / 200 cm. For this option, sections 9 and 10, as well as the third part of section 12 should be skipped.

Yarn:
Danske Silke by Yundi&Grete, 628yd / 575m (per 100g), 70% Merino, 30% Silk or a similar light fingering or lace yarn that matches the gauge.

Gauge:
24 stitches und 40 rows = 4'' / 10 cm in stockinette stitch

The pattern requires:
628yd / 575m (100g) in the main color
314yd / 288m (50g) each in the 4 contrast colors

Materials:
US size 2.5 [3.0 mm] circular needle (long cord recommended) or size necessary to obtain gauge.
