Crochet Baby Shoes – lace-up booties in three sizes (EN & DE)

Product description

IMPORTANT: You are buying a PDF pattern, NOT the finished item.

The pattern is written in full in English and in German (one PDF per language).

Crochet pattern for baby shoes in a lace-up boot style – three sizes from 4 to 4.8 inches sole length, an instant-download PDF, written in full in English and German.

Little lace-up booties that look like real shoes: dark laces across the instep, a proper tongue and a contrasting rim around the top. The pale grey sole sets off the orange upper – the colours are entirely up to you, and a bold or a soft shade turns the very same shoe into a boy's or a girl's model.

All three sizes are written out in full, every round with its stitch count – so there is nothing for you to convert. They make a quick baby-shower or christening gift; a pair takes little more than a leftover ball of yarn.

Three sizes, each written out in full: 4, 4.4 and 4.8 inch sole length
Unisex – a boy's or a girl's shoe, depending on the colours you pick
Explained round by round, with the stitch count at the end of each round
Step-by-step photos
Bilingual: the complete pattern in English AND German
PDF for instant download and printing

Photo note: The crocheted item is real and made by me. On some photos the background was AI-generated or digitally edited.

If you run into any trouble or something is unclear, please send me a message first – I am happy to help. After that I would be very glad about a review.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

You need: chain, single crochet, slip stitch, magic circle, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, front and back post half double crochet, increasing and decreasing, skipping and doubling stitches.

Almost everything is worked in half double crochet. Every round is written out separately with its stitch count, and the trickier steps are shown in photos.

Size Information

Both finished dachshunds are about 25 cm / 10 inches tall.

Gauge: 24 stitches × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 inches (Schachenmayr Catania)

Materials List

  • 50 g orange yarn, for a 4–5 mm hook
  • a leftover in dark brown, for a 4–5 mm hook
  • a leftover in light grey, for a 4–5 mm hook

I used Schachenmayr Catania Grande, a size medium / worsted weight.

Equipment:

  • crochet hook no. 4 mm (G/8)
  • darning needle
  • scissors

You may sell the dogs you crochet from this pattern as long as you credit me as the designer (Masche-für-Masche). The pattern itself is for private use only and may not be shared, sold, swapped or translated.

Baby Stiefelchen
