- The thickness of the yarn is not really an issue, although DK (Stylecraft Special DK) was used in the sample shown to obtain approx 23cm (9 ins) height using 4mm hook smaller by using finer yarn and if you want the doll to be larger then use thicker yarn, remember to change the hook size to match the yarn suggestion - see label of yarn

I made this for my granddaughter and she is almost 2. I made the 3-4 so she could wear it longer. It fits her in the chest right now but it is too long but she will be able to wear it for many years. Loved this. First clothing I have ever made.
The result in the picture is fine, but I haven't yet attempted it as the construction seemed very complicated. Maybe it isn't to more experienced knitters!
After I made this tea cosy I was disappointed at the size, I could only get it to fit my small teapot it would not go over my larger teapot. But all in all I still love it and still loved making it, everyone who saw it fell in love with it.
