Crescent Shawl 'April Weather'

Size:

• With 4-ply yarn: 240 x 40 cm ( 94 x 16 “) (pink model)
• With 6-ply yarn: 260 x 60 cm (102 x 24“) (blue model)

The shawl can be made bigger by just continuing as described. Please notice that you will need more yarn!
Please block into proper shape after finishing.
The shawl is worked top down, starting in the center. The optional ruffle is added from one side to the other.

Material:

• For a large shoulder wrap you will need about 300g/10.6oz 6-ply sock yarn, 800m/870yds
• For a smaller shawl you will need about 200g/7oz 4-ply sock yarn (here: High Twist, handdyed by 800m/870yds.
• Circular needles fitting to the yarn used, 3.5-5mm (US: 4-8, UK: 10-6) with a 100cm/40” cable
• Darning needle for sewing in ends
• Optional: 1 package of beads ‘Rocailles’ (4mm, 6/0)

• knit
• purl
• knit 2 together
• yarn over
• Brioche knitting
• german short rows (Doppelmaschen)
